Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you visit The Economic Blindspot ("this site", "we", "us"). This site is a personal financial education publication, not a business that sells anything or requires an account, so there is not much to collect in the first place.

What we collect

This site does not use tracking cookies, and it does not require you to create an account or log in to read anything.

We use a privacy focused analytics tool called GoatCounter to see basic, aggregated numbers: how many people visited a page, roughly where in the world they came from, and how many people clicked through to an e-book download or a Medium article. GoatCounter sets no cookies and stores no personal data. This is used only to understand which content is useful, and none of it is tied back to your name or identity.

If you use the "Send a question" form, it is handled by Google Forms, and whatever you type there, including your name or email if you choose to include one, is used only to read and respond to your question.

If you email us directly, we receive whatever your email contains, the same as any email you would send to anyone else.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or trade any visitor information. We do not run ads or ad tracking networks on this site. We do not build profiles on individual readers.

Third party services and embeds

Pages on this site may embed content from Instagram, and link out to Medium, LinkedIn, and Google Forms. Those services may set their own cookies or collect their own data according to their own privacy policies, once you interact with their embedded content or click through to their site. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how those third parties handle your data.

Changes to this policy

If how this site handles data changes, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version of this page.
